About Joshua A. Brody
Joshua Brody (“Josh”) is an associate at Rowlands, LeBrou & Griesmer, PLLC, where he focuses on estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, and real estate law.
Before joining the firm, Josh was a partner at Brody & Brody, LLP, where he focused his practice on elder law. Josh was also of counsel to the firm Persing & O’Leary, LLC, providing general civil and family litigation services. Over the past eight years, Josh has assisted numerous clients with their estate planning needs and represented clients in New York State Supreme Court, Surrogate’s Court, Family Court, and various County and Town Courts. He also spent time as a volunteer law clerk for the Hon. Joseph C. Teresi.
Josh received his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law. While there, he was the Director of the Trial Advocacy Board, the President of the Jewish Law Students’ Association and the Co-President of the International Law Society. Josh earned his Bachelor’s degree in the Russian language at Grinnell College and his Master’s degree in Russian Literature and Slavic Languages from the University of Chicago.
Josh is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Trusts & Estates and Elder Law sections) and the Estate Planning Council of Eastern New York. He serves the local Jewish community by being on the B’nai Sholom Reformed Congregation Board.
Josh was raised in the Capital District and currently lives in Albany with his wife Megan. In his spare time, Josh enjoys participating in ultimate frisbee and is on the Board of the Albany Ultimate Disc Association.
